How we make a difference
Oregon Action is a grassroots, intercultural social and racial justice organization that empowers Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), immigrants, refugees, rural communities, and low-income Oregonians to eliminate systemic inequities by investing in community organizing and political engagement.
Oregon Action builds political power and advocates for policy changes at the local, state, and national levels. Our primary initiatives include:
Economic & Housing Justice: Advocating for affordable housing, homelessness prevention, and wealth-building for excluded communities.
Immigrant & Refugee Rights: Organizing campaigns for immigrant integration, civil rights, and fair treatment.
Climate & Community: Helping communities address climate and environmental issues.
Civic Engagement: Fighting for voting access, ensuring underrepresented voices are at policy-making tables.
We make a difference by:
Partnering with local organizations to organize and empower communities
Endorsing and supporting aligned candidates and initiatives
Educating our communities about policies that affect their lives
